It’s hot Renaults at the double! The French firm has announced that the Twingo Gordini 133 will cost £14,500 when it goes on sale in April.
Only 200 examples of the hot-hatch will make it to the UK and each will feature a numbered plaque displaying the car’s build number.
The Gordini will use the Renaultsport Twingo’s 131bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine which achieves 40.4mpg and emissions of 165 g/km. The car comes decked out in the iconic Gordini blue with twin-offset white stripes. There are also distinctive white intake surrounds, wing mirrors and a rear spoiler to compliment the specially-tuned exhaust and unique 17-inch twin 5-spoke Gordini alloy
The sporty theme continues inside with the Gordini logo embossed into Renaultsport seats and a multi-function steering wheel which features white stripes to mark its centre point.
A blue rev-counter pod with white dials combines with blue inserts on the door panels, gearlever gaiter and Gordini-badged gearknob to further enhance the standard Twingo cabin.
On top of the standard Renaultsport kit, Gordini’s feature a wealth of gadgetry including climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, and an iPod compatible stereo. First deliveries of the Twingo Gordini 133 will begin in June.

I don't understand this car - Renault has lowered themselves to Toyota's tactics where they whack on a few cosmetic changes on to an existing model and call it a special sports version. Renault is destroying the Gordini brand by giving these Twingos and Clios a Gordini badge without making any improvement in overall performance.
