While most big carmakers are preparing for January’s Detroit Motor Show in the US, Nissan is preparing to wow the crowds at the Tokyo Motor Show which takes place just after the American expo.

The Japanese firm is planning to show off no fewer than nine new cars, including the electric Leaf Aero Style Concept which features a striking bodykit that Nissan describes it as the future of “sport EV driving.”

The firm will also show off the charmingly-named Juke Sporty Package which previews a host of exterior accessories designed for the European and North American markets. The car includes chrome parts and 17-inch alloys.

Elsewhere on the stand will be a high-performance NISMO and luxury version of the firm’s eccentric Elgrand people carrier which features a 3.5-litre V6 under its bonnet, plus a number racing versions of the giant-killing GT-R.
