Update: Ford's strategy of launching a limited edition version of the Ecosport SUV on the social networking site Facebook seems to have struck a chord with potential customers. Only a handful of the 120 models destined for UK shores are now available, with Ford's online configurator for the car claiming only six models with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine are now available. The limited edition Ecosport is based on the Titanium trim level and features numerous exclusive add-ons.
Only 500 limited edition versions of the EcoSport Limited Edition had be made available in Europe, with just 120 right-hand drive models making their way to the UK.
Features on the newcomer include the Ford SYNC AppLink system, which enables voice control over the smartphone apps installed in the car, 17-inch alloy wheels and leather trim.
