It's a revised look, better fuel economy and an all-new engine for Audi's coupe, but the firm can't be accused of going OTT! These are the first official images of the subtly updated TT Coupe and Roadster, due to be unveiled this week at the Leipzig Motor Show in Germany.
Look closely and TT fans will notice a new front bumper design, which frames larger air inlets and fog lights set in chrome rings. And in trademark Audi style a strip of twelve LED lights has been added underneath the headlights.
The modifications have added two centimetres in length, but at just 4,187 millimetres both the Coupe and Roadster are still shorter than the BMW Z4 and Porsche Boxster.
Four new colours: Scuba Blue, Oolong Gray, Volcano Red and Dakota Grey can now be ordered, with the latter available in pearl effect when you combine it with the sporty S Line package.
On the inside the basic interior architecture remains untouched. Although a smattering of aluminium-style and gloss-black trim lift the ambience. Three new interior colours are also on offer which include nougat brown, titanium grey and garnet red.
New to the line-up is the 208bhp 2.0 TFSI engine, which replaces the both 197bhp 2.0 TFSI and the 3.2 FSI variants. Couped to a six-speed manual, the newcomer sprints from 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds and onto 152mph. But thanks to an advanced valve timing system fuel economy of 42.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 154g/km are still possible.
Thanks to a new energy recovery system, the 1.8 TFSI engine and 2.0 TDI model also benefit from a 14 per cent boost in efficiency.
At the top of the range the 268bhp TTS comes as standard with Audi's magnetic ride adaptive dampers - which now includes a Sport button to sharpen throttle response, steering weight and the engine note.
There's no word on price just yet, although orders are already being taken for the updated car. We're told that prices should be confirmed very soon - and we'll bring you that information as soon as it's available.

The designers must have been inspired by Porsche no doubt...
Find never need to look at Audi updates cos never much changes
I must say that I much prefer the current model!
The TT was pretty much as good as it gets before, so I'm glad this is a subtle change. Generally I like it, especially the larger intakes below the headlamps. Slightly less keen on the foglamp rings. And it looks like the TTS has horizontal chrome bits on the grille. I still like the original TT where the fogs were inside the headlamps, but the average Joe wanted to pose with them on, not see in the fog, so they were put where they are now to get smashed by stray stones!
very very very subtle - actually so subtle that it could be mistook for the current model - great car and legendary design who would want to change it. i think curves need to comeback on car design

Far better to get something a bit different!
A nice RX-8 or maybe a nearly new S2000 (if you are lucky enough to find a final edition for sale!) or perhaps a 370Z...
Audi`s TT`s are the vehicle of choice for pre-banking crash era bankers...The Porsche 944 of the naughties.
It's about time VW and Audi stopped being boring. Is the new golf THAT different from the old one? This certainly isn't really any different. If you want something more exciting with at least the same build quality, check the Peugeot RCZ out and save yourself at least £5000 for an equilavent if not better spec car. It's certainly better looking.

By the way did I mention that it's launched on the 21st May? but be quick because your local dealer will only be able to order about 12 per year as they are built to order.
