Revealed: The skeleton in BMW's cupboard!

What will BMW make of this? Its engine has become a bit of a fossil! This piece is actually part of a display of sculptures created by budding designers at London's Royal College of Art. After a special exhibition, the works will tour UK BMW dealerships.

The artworks were created after the German firm asked RCA students to come up with 'masterpieces' using components from its cars. The results feature pistons, camshafts, tappets, exhausts and crankshafts - including this one, designed to resemble a fossil.
