Ask 10 enthusiasts to name their top 10 sports cars, and you’ll probably get 10 different answers. With so many sports cars for sale these days, even we found it challenging to narrow down our list to just 10.
You’ll see we’ve included everything from relatively cheap sports cars, to super luxury sports cars like the McLaren 570S and the Porsche 911. Our list covers 2 seater sports cars like the Caterham Seven, 4 seater sports cars like the BMW M2 and Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, and we’ve got Japanese sports cars in the shape of the Mazda MX-5 and Nissan GT-R. Oh, and we’ve got soft-top sports cars and sporty coupes just to make sure every genre is covered.
Hopefully, there’s something for everyone in our top 10 sports cars list. And while it includes a number of very different cars, everything on it shares at least three critical characteristics – they’ll get you very rapidly from A to B, they’re great fun to drive, and they all look fantastic.
If our list proves anything, it’s that defining a sports car is pretty hard these days. Interestingly most of the cars on our list also combine the ability to put a massive grin on your face, with being refined and comfortable on a motorway cruise or your daily commute. Our list also proves there’s something for every budget, with cheap sports cars at one end costing less than a family hatchback, and exotic machinery at the other costing more than some people spend on their house.
