The all-new Volkswagen Caddy BlueMotion has finally arrived, and it's the most efficient Caddy panel van yet.
The economical Caddy will be available in short-wheelbase panel van form only, and is powered by a frugal 1.6-litre TDI engine which develops 250Nm of torque. This engine manages to return an impressive 61.4mpg and emits only 119g/km of CO2 - not bad for a van. Volkswagen even claim you can travel the distance from London to Milan if you have a full tank.
The BlueMotion model achieves its great efficiency thanks to a combination of an aerodynamic body and Volkswagen's innovative BlueMotion Technology features. These include Cruise Control, Hill-Hold Assist, Start/Stop and even Energy Recuperation.
To differentiate this Volkswagen Caddy from the rest of the range, Volkswagen has introduced a number of bespoke features including 15-inch wheel covers, body-coloured guard strips and a black and blue coloured trim fabric to match the BlueMotion theme.
