Focus ST Estate police car
A one-off Ford Focus ST Estate police car has been built by Ford Special Vehicle Preparations
This is the Ford Focus ST Estate police car, built to the latest National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) standards for fast response vehicles.
The one-off demonstrator has been developed and engineered at Ford Special Vehicle Preparations (SVP) in Earls Colne, Essex, and follows the Ford Focus ST hatchback’s starring roll in the film The Sweeney.
Like the standard production Focus ST Estate, it is powered by a 247bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. Performance remains unchanged, with the 0-62mph time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 154mph.
The police version of the Focus ST Estate also gets an LED light bar on the roof, full police livery and a mobile data terminal and screen.
The car has appeared at the National Association of Police Fleet Managers Conference and Blue Light Fleet Exhibition (NAPFM) in Peterborough.
