Oh dear, I find this vehicle so depressing. Even accepting that aesthetics and beauty are personal, Icannot believe that anybody with even the remotest grip on basic taste could have signed this design off with any sense of pride - Interior or exterior.
To me, it sums up everything that is bad in vehicle design. A hodgepodge of ill-considered and uncoordinated shapes, textures, colours and shades. The result has no merit, no sense of any purpose or direction and no glimmer of joy. It misses out even on good, honest no nonsense practicality or even basic craftsmanship. It doesn't challenging, it just offends.
Toyota designers, where is the passion? What corporate process went so wrong that this is how you"clothe" a powertrain that your many excellent engineers toiled over to perfect. You do them a disservice.
One word - 'orrible! It looks as if some Chinese teenager was let loose on the drawing board and that is a shame. The vehicle deserves much better than this as Land Cruisers are second only to Land Rovers as tough 4x4's wit hpeople carrying ability. By Land Cruisers, I didn't mean the silly Colorado model of a decade ago, I mean the big, butch Amazon with its 4.6 litre straight 6 turbo diesel engine. Just about bullet proof!
