Renault will unveil a new concept car on the 8 April, giving a glimpse in to the design of the next-generation Twingo. Until the car is fully unveiled, Renault has released this teaser shot, which appears to show a rear light and a spoiler.
Designed with the help of Ross Lovegrove, the new car is thought to be the latest in Renault’s life-cycle concept seriers that kicked off with the DeZir supercar, inspired by the act of falling in love. This was followed by the Captur SUV, the R-Space MPV and the Frendzy van, which represented exploration, family, and work respectively.
The new concept will be inspired by the idea of ‘play’ and will draw heavily on nature. Renault says it intends to reveal “nature's underlying blueprints and transfer them into a new design language.”
The new Twingo will be built as part of a tie-up with Daimler, and will share its platform with the next-generation Smart ForFour. Both cars will be rear-engined and rear-wheel drive.

The new Twingo is beginning to appear rather interesting. About time for what once was a quirky little car.
You can tell already from the shot of the rear quarter tail section? Damn you're good!
