The all-new Renault Twingo will start at £9,495 when it goes on sale late next month. Prices rise to £11,695 for the range-topping version with the 89bhp 900cc three-cylinder turbocharged engine. First deliveries are expected in September.
The starting price buys a 69bhp 1.0 three-cylinder naturally aspirated model in entry-level Expression trim. Buyers also have a choice of Play and Dynamique specifications, and standard kit across the range includes a DAB radio, Bluetooth and Hill Start Assist.
Mid-spec Play models (£9,995) come with added air-con and two-tone wheel trims, while top-of-the-line Dynamic versions (£10,995 – £11,695) get 15-inch alloy wheels, exterior decals, front fog lights and cruise control. Buyers of top-spec model also have the option of adding an R-Link multimedia system with a seven-inch touch-screen, voice control and sat-nav.
Various personalisation packs are also offered on the Twingo, which range from £250 to £850. They offer extra kit such as heated seats, alloy wheels and multi-media systems at a lower price than if added individually.
Renault claims the entry 69bhp 1.0-litre engine is capable of 67.3mpg and 95g/km of CO2 if fitted with stop-start technology. The higher-powered 900cc engine can return up to 66mpg with emissions of 99g/km.
