Are we so sure its the new Leon?? The mirrors are different and theres an indicator light behind the wheel arch which the new Leon dosnt have....
The mirror covers, side indicators and front and rear fascias are deliberately taken from the Astra GTC which is, incidentally, a much better-looking car than the dumbed-down Audi A3 profile of the new Leon 3 door...
Just as they'd got the last one looking about right, they go for tedium. Best Leon of all was two models ago - neat and tidy.
The Astra GTC is a very good looking car indeed, however, the biggest problem it and most other c segment cars have are the fact they look extremely large and bloated. The A3 and this Leon sc are bucking the trend and to me this is a good thing.
Goes to show how bland cars have become. There was no way you could graft a mark 2 Astra nose on to the equivalent Escort of the same era.
What more proof do we need that the Vast Majority of New Cars are basicly the Same underneath Even Externally The Same just Different Badges Headlights, Rear Lights, Rear Quaters & other External Outer Skin Panels Like Front Wings & Door Skins Different Design Creases & a Few other Internal Dashboards & Minor Details For Example The New Vauxhall Is a Alfa Gullietta, Renault Megane, Citroen Ds4, Ford Focus, New Kia Ceed, Hyundai I40, Seat Leon & Now The New Vw Golf there All The Same Cars just different External Skin Panels, Same Chassis & Floorpan & In Alot of Cases The Same Engines, Most Large Manufacturers Make There Own Engines But Now & Again When They Want To Save On Designing A Whole New Engine Just For There Own Cars Is Not Cost Effective So They Design A Engine Then Share It This Has Been Going On For Decades, But Now With The Car Manufacturers In A So called Crisis & Global Recession They Have Had The Biggest Overhaul In Vehicle Manufacturing History & Now Share More Than Just Engines To Save On Costs & Maximise Profits, Because To Design & Manufacture A Car On Your Own Is Just Not Feesable Anymore That's Why Many Manufactures Have Gone Out Of Business Or Been Bought Out By Giants In The Last Couple Of Decades.
is it me or does it look exactly like an Astra?
Haha, good on Seat for trying to confuse onlookers with the Astra frontage. Far more convincing than Land Rover were with their "Volvo badged" Rangie mule!
Brilliant. Best disguise kit I've seen in years.
