Mercedes S-Class interior spied

New Mercedes S-Class will feature a new steering wheel and COMAND control, when it arrives next year

Our spies have caught the new Mercedes S-Class’ hi-tech interior completely undisguised.

Our picture clearly shows the current car’s rectangular vents have been ditched in favour of circular units, while the steering wheel has a new design.

The widescreen central display has grown in size and will feature new infotainment software, while the instrument panel behind the wheel is fully digital.

The COMAND rotary control knob is now circled by an array of buttons for choosing driving modes and accessing the likes of DAB radio and sat-nav on the main screen.

The new S-Class is expected to go on sale late next year, with prices starting at around £60,000.

Looks hideous, aka Daewoo circa 1996.

Looks lovely - air vents look very Rolls Royce and the screens will be delightful. Hopefully with some flair like the XJ.

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. But please, please don't attack each other.

Thanks,

Thank you Rhian for putting these guys straight; this forum should not be a 'playground' but a sensible, respectful place to express worthwhile opinions of the articles and subject.
Apropos of the S-class update, my own CLKcab has the circular vents and I find them very comfortable to live with.
