M Sport 1-Series...

26th February 2007
The German manufacturer has announced a pair of new M Sport models for the 1-Series and 3-Series, and the short production run of the hatchback is sure to trigger a rush to showrooms.
That's because only 160 three-door 130i M Sport Limited Edition models will be built. The newcomer, based on the standard 130i, has a distinctive bodykit plus metallic paint, smart chrome window trims and World Touring Car-style alloy wheels. The cabin has a start/stop button to fire up the 265bhp engine, and bespoke leather upholstery, aluminium trim and a dark anthracite headlining.
There's also a pair of figure-hugging front seats, sports suspension and a short-shift gearstick. The car will cost £30,270. Prices for other variants in the new three-door range have also been announced, with the entry-level 118i starting from £17,785.
The 3-Series M Sport has even more features than the flagship SE, including an aerodynamic bodykit, 18-inch alloys and stiffer suspension, which also drops the ride height by 15mm. Both Coupés and Convertibles are available, and feature Alcantara upholstery, brushed aluminium trim, a short-throw M Sport gearlever and matching steering wheel.
Prices start at £28,330 for the 320i M Sport Coupé. Go for a range-topping 335i Convertible, however, and you'll have to shell out £40,250.
