Facelifted Kia Sorento SUV will get more luxurious interior, sharper styling and cleaner engines

Kia will introduce a facelifted version of the Sorento SUV later this year, and these pictures show how the model is shaping up.

Heavy cladding at the front and rear hides a host of changes to help bring the seven-seater in line with the rest of the Kia range. That means a more pronounced grille and swept-back headlights with incorporated LEDs at the front.

Kia’s newest models have also been marked out by a focus on interior quality, and we can expect the new Sorento to get a few updates in this area. Material quality will be improved, and a few hi-tech extras like lane-keep assist will be added to the options list.

The engine line-up will be mostly the same, consisting of an entry-level 2.0-litre diesel and a larger 2.2-litre diesel. Both will be tweaked for more power and lower emissions.

Expect to see the new Kia Sorento introduced towards the end of the year with a starting price of around £22,000.
