Kia has the honour of providing the reasonably-priced car to Top Gear. The BBC’s flagship motoring programme returned to BBC2 last night, and gave the Cee’d its debut as the show’s new reasonably-priced car.

The Korean firm has provided three identical Cee’ds for use on the show. Each car is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine which produces 124bhp. The cars are standard, except for the addition of racing seats, harnesses and a roll cage.

First behind the wheel were BBC Political Editor Nick Robinson, Capital FM radio presenter Johnny Vaughan and Olympic Winter Games gold medalist Amy Williams.
