Updates for Toyota Yaris with Bi-Tone and Yaris Style trims
Stylish new specification updates keep Toyota Yaris supermini looking fresh
The Toyota Yaris has never concentrated too much on style, preferring instead to focus on practicality, reliability and economy. The European market seems to agree with this way of thinking, as Yaris sales have been steadily growing since 2011. However, Toyota has given the car some funky new trim details for the upcoming model year to add a bit of visual appeal to the line-up.
For 2016, there's a revised 'Style' trim. This variant adds features like a black-painted honeycomb grille and piano-black inserts for the interior. There are also extra bits of chrome to give the Yaris a fresh face – and for the first time, these visual upgrades are available on the Hybrid model.
The more striking addition to the range is the 'Bi-Tone' spec, which, as the name suggests, allows personalisation of the Yaris with contrasting panels. Customers will be able to combine Pearl White, Platinum Bronze or Barcelona Red paint colours with a metallic black finish on the roof, A-pillars, exterior mirrors, leading bonnet edge and upper front wing.
The additions continue inside, where the Yaris Bi-Tone gets a black headliner and a choice of three exclusive black and grey upholstery trims.
The Yaris Style and Bi-Tone will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show, while sales are likely to begin in November in the UK.
