The A3 Saloon's interior is the same as the standard A3 and A3 Sportback, so it's beautifully made if a little dull.

Rear legroom is better than the hatch, but the sloping roofline impacts headroom slightly.
From head-on, the A3 Saloon is identical to the hatch, and from the side it could easily be a scaled down A4 or A6.

Boot space is 45 litres up on the hatch, but the saloon opening is less practical than a full tailgate.
Four-wheel-drive is available but only on the 178bhp 1.8 litre engine.
