Yaris tops the kit parade

New range-topping version of the Japanese supermini comes packed with kit.

There's now even more kit on offer with Toyota’s Yaris (above). The range-topping SR has been upgraded to include a combined sat-nav and audio system as standard. The touchscreen device is built in, but can be removed – so is fully portable – and includes hands-free Bluetooth connectivity and an MP3 player connection.

It’s not the only extra that has been added to the equipment list, either. The revamped model also gets 16-inch Pit Lane alloys, lowered sports suspension, a rear spoiler, chrome-finished exhaust, brushed alloy gearknob and front scuff plates.

The changes, which apply to the 1.3 VVT-i and the 1.4 D-4D powered variants, are worth a total of £1,100, but add only £350 to the price tag, when compared with the equivalent T3 version.
