Skoda has hinted that this daring evolution of the impressive Fabia Sport reveals what drivers can expect from the company's hotly anticipated vRS model - due for launch in 2010.
The 1.9-litre diesel engined machine joined the firm's impressive display at this week's Geneva Motor Show, lining up alongside the new Yeti and a range of low CO2 Greenline badged cars, based on the Fabia, Octavia and Superb.
A spokesperson told Auto Express: "This model shows some of the potential of the Fabia, all of the parts you can see on this model from the sporty cabin to the gloss black finish on the roof, are available from our dealers."
"Until now, this detailing was only available in white, however, there's big demand out there for these kinds of modifications, so we are pleased to be able to offer them officially."
Though detail on the specification and finish of the new vRS is still scarce, one insider did promise us that the finshed car would be "even more extreme" than the model we saw at Geneva. Likely to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show that car will take its inspiration from the firm's recently unveiled S2000 rally car.
