Pictures give first glimpse of new Porsche 911 GT3 featuring more power and a stripped-out cabin

There’s a new Porsche 911 GT3 on the way, and these spy pictures give our first look at the most extreme 991 yet ahead of its early 2013 release.

Porsche has fitted a large rear wing and front spoiler, while twin centrally mounted exhausts further help to differentiate the GT3 from a standard 911.

The big differences will be to performance, and Porsche will be shedding weight and increasing power. A standard 991 Carrera S produces 394bhp, but in the GT3 power will be boosted to over 450bhp from the 3.8-litre engine.

Weight savings over a standard 911 are expected to be around 40kgs, with a stripped out interior as well as lightweight wheels and body panels.

Reports suggest that Porsche will not offer a PDK gearbox with the 991 GT3, so a six-speed manual will be the only option.

Expect the 911 GT3 to cost just under £100,000 when it goes on sale in 2013.

i have found this on the INTERNET ,i phoned skoda they have told me there is no recall for my car reg June 2010 skoda superb with a 170cr engine can you help.

Mr w f Clarke

Thanks for getting in touch. It looks like the advice you've been given is correct and your car is not subject to a recall.

In fact, there's only one recall for the Superb in the UK - it's for a fuel leak issue which affected a very small number of Superb, Octavia and Yeti models.

If you're still concerned, the best place to find recall information is the Vosa website: http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/ap...

Each manufacturer has to inform Vosa as soon as it issues a recall. The site is always up to date and it's very easy to use, too.

Thanks again,
