The UK'’s most satisfying car to own in 2008 –was the same as in 2007: Skoda'’s remarkable Octavia. Driver Power is the definitive poll of car reliability and owner satisfaction. Tens of thousands of car owners take part in our survey. Each car is rated only on scores awarded by you, the people who take the wheel, pay the bills and put up with the drawbacks.

The top five cars in the 2008 survey were:

  1. Skoda Octavia (new)
  2. Land Rover Discovery (new)
  3. Mercedes E-Class (new)
  4. MG ZT
  5. Lexus IS (new)
