Bologna Motor Show might not rank alongside the big boys like Paris, Geneva, Frankfurt and Detroit in terms of razzamatazz and press attention but that’s not to say that this compact Italian show has nothing to offer.

Global car launches were undeniably thin on the ground but Bologna Motor Show 2014 did offer a fine array of eye-catching and interesting vehicles underpinned by the infectious passion for cars and car design that can only come from an Italian crowd.

From the Pagani Zonda Revolucion to the jaw-dropping 1934 Stanguellini 1100 Barchetta Ala d' Oro, there was something for everyone on show.
