Honda Jazz vs Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia (Issue 1,063)

Group test fabia, i10

We hit the shops in Issue 1,063 to test Honda’s new Jazz i-SHIFT. The versatile model features an automated manual gearbox that uses the sort of technology which is usually more frequently associated with racier models.

As we discovered, the system turned out to be equally adeptin a vehicle designed to cope more with the cut and thrust of city driving. The Jazz won the day, well ahead of its i20 and Fabia rivals. The Honda’s transmission proved a significant improvement over the CVT automatic gearbox fitted to the outgoing model.
