By August the Scrappage Scheme was in full swing. The Government initiative to stimulate new sales was introduced in May and proved to be a hit. We picked eight of the best ways to spend the £2,000 incentive, and made a nuisance of ourselves at a busy scrapyard for the photoshoot.

While we were there, our team was amazed by the number and quality of cars waiting to be cubed. Standing out most was a Honda Civic Type R Championship White with only a handful of miles on the clock – the owner had written it off on the way home from the dealer!
