Ford Mustang V8 review - pictures

For the first time, the Ford Mustang is available in the UK.

The new Mustang offers a four-cylinder engine for the first time - a 2.3 litre EcoBoost model.

The interior is typically American - loaded with toys, cupholders and cheap shiny plastic especially on the centre console.

The best engine is of course the massive V8, which produces 420bhp.

No-one could call the Mustang sophisticated - but it's much improved over past models.

Ford say there's room for two golf bags in the boot.

The V8 engine sounds fantastic and will shoot the Mustang from 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds.

Economy is predictably poor - 30mpg is about the best you'll get, driving carefully.

To balance the running cost is a low list price and long equipment list - you couldn't get this much metal for your money from a German manufacturer.
