Skoda Fabia vRS

Skoda has been tight-lipped about the new Fabia vRS but it dropped a strong hint with this special edition Sport model, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March. With its red paint, black wheels and leather cabin, it really showed the potential for a hot Fabia.

As well as striking looks, the new model will get a powerplant to match – expect a 138bhp 2.0-litre TDI turbodiesel from the current Golf. It should mean 0-60mph in around eight seconds but 50mpg combined and low CO2 emissions.

In addition, the Fabia vRS will get stiffened suspension and uprated brakes too. Expect to see the finished article at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September with sales starting in early 2010.
