Toyota will reveal its next Prius at January’s Detroit Motor Show. The car – set to take cues from the Hybrid X seen at Geneva last year – will be bigger than at present, but promises lower emissions, more power and 13 per cent better economy.
Citroen is also readying a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol unit for its C2 and C3 hatches. Even the 100bhp variant will emit only 100g/km of CO2.
