These are the first official pictures of Kia's new off-road star. The all-new seven-seater Sorento, just like the updated cee'd, will make it's European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
Longer and lower than the model it replaces, the Sorento features a significantly more spacious and luxurious interior. But despite growing in size Kia's engineer's have achieved weight savings of up to 215kg over the outgoing car, thanks to an newly-developed monocoque bodyshell.
The best-selling engine in Europe is likely to be a 2.2-litre diesel with 194bhp and 421Nm of torque. High-tech features include keyless entry, push-button start and an in-mirror reversing camera.
Full details and pricing will be revealed just before the Sorento goes on sale in the UK on February 1 2010.

The Kia design bureau has been gaining in confidence over the past few years and their latest models demonstrate that they are heading in the right direction.
The old Sorento was pleasant to look at, but this incarnation takes it to a whole new level...
