Multipla gets nip and tuck

A fresh face and a more powerful diesel engine - Fiat's Multipla has had a makeover. In a bid to boost its six-seater people carrier, the Italian firm has grafted on a new grille similar to that on the latest Stilo.

Designers have tweaked the Multipla's nose, while the shape of the bumper has been changed to give a sleeker finish. Inside, Fiat has added higher-quality materials to the dash, and there are new seat trims, too.

Under the bonnet, the revamped model gets an uprated version of the 1.9-litre Multijet engine, producing 120bhp. The new Multipla arrives in UK showrooms next month.
