Kia Sportage

Updated Sportage takes to the track to begin testing.

Kia Sportage

By Simon Mellins

09th July 2008

No, this Kia Sportage hasn't been repaired with gaffa tape! The vinyl cladding on the front and rear of the Sportage our spies caught testing, conceals the Korean 4x4's latest facelift.

The front grille and headlights are freshly revised, as are the rear lights. Our spies weren't able to photograph the interior, but we're assured it is 'freshened' somewhat, with some new gadgets including a USB port to link devices to the stereo. No word yet on any mechanical changes, but the current selection of two and four wheel drive variants is likely to remain.

This facelift comes less than a year after Kia's previous attempt, revealed at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 2009 model with make its debut at the London Motor Show later this month, and if you want to see it in the metal make sure you take advantage of our three-for-two ticket offer.
