Renault ZOE review - pictures
The Renault ZOE aims to be the perfect electric runabout and for commuting.
The dashboard has been carried from the Renault Clio although the ZOE gets a TFT display instead of standard dials, as well as useful graphics about the regenerative systems.
The ride, while normally composed, can be disturbed by large potholes due to firm suspension. Road noise is good but wind noise at higher speeds can penetrate the cabin.
A 250-mile range is claimed by Renault for the 41kWh battery however do not expect more than 180 miles when driving in the real world.
There’s Renault's standard R-Link infotainment system on the ZOE which includes sat-nav, Bluetooth and downloadable apps. Although, it is not the most intuitive system to use.
The rear seats will happily accommodate six-foot-tall passengers on short journeys, although on longer journeys, passengers may become uncomfortable.
The ZOE has minimal exterior features to keep the body drag free and not disrupt the airflow.
Renault's chameleon charger is fitted as standard, whcih similar to the lizard adapts to its environment, but in this case it is to the power supply and not shrubbery.
