Whether you're looking for a family hatch like the Ford Focus, or a seven-seat MPVs like the SEAT Alhambra, there's a car to suit everyone's needs. Plus, new niches and developments in technology means that the choice available is wider than ever.

We’ve seen electric cars like the Nissan Leaf, and range-extending hybrids like the Vauxhall Ampera make an impact over the last 12 months and the trend looks set to continue with cars like the Ford Focus BEV and Tesla Model S due to arrive on UK roads soon.
