This 1940s Dodge is the premier fire vehicle of the Citadel in the new Mad Max movie. It's a classic hotrod with a huge roots supercharger and one or two mods to ensure its weaponry is up to scratch.
Built for purpose, not speed, this huge truck is property of the bloodthirsty 'Buzzards' in the film. It appears to carry gigantic speakers and certainly won't win any awards for beauty.

A deranged amalgamation of two 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville's ripped apart and welded back together, the Gigahorse is then mounted onto a truck chassis and powered by two supercharged V8s positioned adjacent to one another. Crikey!
The only thing that remains of this 1970s Chrysler Valiant Charger is the body clinging on for dear life. Stretched over the chassis of a light tank, it's piloted by a friendly-sounding character called 'The Bullet Farmer'.

Acting as a guard for other vehicles in the film such as the Gigahorse, the Buick comes equipped with a slew-ring turret and anti-aircraft gun.
Bearing little resemblance to its namesake, Elvis features in the film packing a V12 engine and nitrous injection.

Unlike any other Volkswagen Beetle you've seen, the FDK features a dubious combination of drums of fuel, a double-barrelled flamethrower and a triple exhaust system.
Firecar #4 is based on a 1970s Holden HZ 'ute' and is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

The film namesake's original muscle car, the X8 Falcon Coupe, or Interceptor, is in something of a state but one of the most recognisable cars of the Mad Max film.
Like a lot of the vehicles seen so far in this gallery, Mack is a heavy-duty recovery vehicle equipped with harpoons and ready to see off anything that gets in its way.

The Nux Car is a turbocharged, nitrous-boosted 5-window Deuce coupe.

It's difficult to decipher what this car is based on, but all we know is that we wouldn't mess with it.
