Cars of Mad Max: Fury Road - Pictures

Go to: The awesome 'Mad Max: Fury Road' movie cars in pictures
  • Mad Max Bigfoot

Based on a Dodge Plymouth Fargo truck from the 1940s, 'Bigfoot' is the chariot of warrior Rictus Erectus. It's seven-feet tall and features 66-inch tyres and a six-litre supercharged V8.

  • Mad Max Cranky Frank

This butchered Holden FJ pick-up has been given the 'Rat Rod' rusty treatment, and is dominated by a monstrous four-intake supercharged V8 with carburettors handily blocking the driver's view. It's the point car and guard of Immortan's

  • Mad Max Dodge

This 1940s Dodge is the premier fire vehicle of the Citadel in the new Mad Max movie. It's a classic hotrod with a huge roots supercharger and one or two mods to ensure its weaponry is up to scratch.

  • Mad Max Doofwagon

Built for purpose, not speed, this huge truck is property of the bloodthirsty 'Buzzards' in the film. It appears to carry gigantic speakers and certainly won't win any awards for beauty.

  • Mad Max: The Gigahorse

A deranged amalgamation of two 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville's ripped apart and welded back together, the Gigahorse is then mounted onto a truck chassis and powered by two supercharged V8s positioned adjacent to one another. Crikey!

  • Mad max Peacemaker

The only thing that remains of this 1970s Chrysler Valiant Charger is the body clinging on for dear life. Stretched over the chassis of a light tank, it's piloted by a friendly-sounding character called 'The Bullet Farmer'.

  • Mad Max War Rig

The War Rig dwarfs alomst every other vehicle in the film. It's a six-wheel drive Tatra semi truck with bits of random 1940s models welded onto it for no apparent reason. The dystopian future version of the Ice Road Trucker, it transpo

  • Mad Max Buggy #9

The Buggy #9, based on the Perentti which, itself, takes cues from the Corvette, features in Mad Max with a gun strapped to the roof.

  • Mad Max Buick

Acting as a guard for other vehicles in the film such as the Gigahorse, the Buick comes equipped with a slew-ring turret and anti-aircraft gun.

  • Mad Max Elvis

Bearing little resemblance to its namesake, Elvis features in the film packing a V12 engine and nitrous injection.

  • Mad Max FDK

Unlike any other Volkswagen Beetle you've seen, the FDK features a dubious combination of drums of fuel, a double-barrelled flamethrower and a triple exhaust system.

  • Mad Max Firecar #4

Firecar #4 is based on a 1970s Holden HZ 'ute' and is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

  • Mad Max Interceptor

The film namesake's original muscle car, the X8 Falcon Coupe, or Interceptor, is in something of a state but one of the most recognisable cars of the Mad Max film.

  • Mad Max Mack

Like a lot of the vehicles seen so far in this gallery, Mack is a heavy-duty recovery vehicle equipped with harpoons and ready to see off anything that gets in its way.

  • Mad Max The Nux Car

The Nux Car is a turbocharged, nitrous-boosted 5-window Deuce coupe.

  • Mad Max Ploughboy

The Ploughboy, as the name suggests, has a hydraulic-driven plough tagged to the rear-end. The obligatory harpoon features on the car, too.

  • Mad Max Plymouth Rock

It's difficult to decipher what this car is based on, but all we know is that we wouldn't mess with it.

  • Mad Max Prince Valiant

Intended for high-speed chase in the film, the Prince Valiant is a typical V8 muscle car, but with the usual Mad Max additions. These include a high-volume flamethrower and molotov grenades.
