The Alltrack will be offered in the UK with the two higher-powered 2.0 TDI diesel engines from the standard Passat range.

The 148bhp model features a six-speed manual gearbox while the 187bhp model comes with a DSG automatic.

VW's 4MOTION four-wheel-drive system can push power to the back wheels if the front ones lose grip.
