BMW 330e plug-in hybrid review - pictures

BMW has finally bought some of the knowledge it's gained from the 'i' program into its mainstream cars, starting with this 330e plug-in hybrid.

The 330e combines an electric motor with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine to give a combined output of 241bhp.

The BMW's claimed economy figure of 148.7mpg should keep you happy at the pumps.

A claimed CO2 figure of just 44g/km means rock-bottom company car tax.

The 330e has an all-electric range of up to 25 miles.

Other than the hybrid drivetrain, the rest of the car is identical to the regular 3 Series.
