Lacking a true small crossover in its range, Hyundai have beefed up the i20 to creat this - the i20 Active.

The i20 Active doesn't have four-wheel drive, but styling additions include chunky new bumpers, skid plates and a raised ride height.

The i20 Active gets 17-inch alloy wheels as standard.

The Hyundai i20 Active is £1,200 more expensive than the standard i20 on which it's based.

Four-wheel-drive isn't even optional on the Hyundai i20 Active, making it more of a rival for the Dacia Sandero Stepway.

Details like the silver roof rails are smart, but the rest of the styling won't be to everyone's taste.
