Best all-rounder

This vac is our pick of the Karcher range. Its 1,400W output is more than enough for picking up dog hair and dirt from your boot.

It weighs 5.8kg, so while it’s not as light as the 2.200, it’s easy enough to manoeuvre and didn’t tip over when we pulled its hose.

There’s a blower to clear leaves and the 17-litre stainless steel drum has more than enough space for picking up winter muck.

It’s well priced, with a four-metre power cable and plenty of accessories – our only issue was a lack of storage for these.
