Arrinera Hussarya: The first Polish supercar unveiled

Polish supercar maker Arrinera has pulled the wraps off its debut model, the Hussarya

The first supercar to emerge from Poland has been unveiled. The Arrinera Hussarya was previewed last year by a concept car but this production version has received a radical makeover, with plans to produce 100 per year.

Arrinera has borrowed the 6.2-litre V8 from GM, tuned to develop 641bhp and 818Nm of torque. The Polish manufacturer claims headlines stats will read 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds and 0-124mph in 8.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 211mph. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an automated-manual gearbox.

The Hussarya will ride on a high-strength steel chassis designed by Lee Nobel – the man responsible the birth of British supercar brand Nobel. A carbon fibre exterior package will also be available, helping reduced overall kerbweight to 1,300kg. Also offered is a power package, which will up total power to 690bhp and add larger brakes.

Dedicated track users can opt for a track pack, which adds four-point seatbelts, carbon fibre buckets seats, lower profile tyres and stiffer suspension. Standard kit on the Hussarya includes Bluetooth, MP3 compatibility, daytime running lights, air con, leather seats and parking sensors.

Arrinera initially stated the Hussarya would cost from $160,000 (£96,181) when the concept was unveiled. However, improvements to the construction techniques and materials are likely to up the price tag. Nothing official has yet been announced but the manufacturer claims around 100 will be produced per year.
