Citroen C4 Cactus triple test - pictures

The Citreon C4 Cactus is a crossover to rival the Nissan Juke but with bold styling.

Despite the name, the Cactus is actually based on the smaller C3, sitting on an extended version of the C3/DS3 platform.

<span>The side Airbump panels are a first in any class, and are claimed to protect the bodywork from car park dings and paint scrapes.</span>

The Airbump panels are <span>made from rubberised plastic cladding featuring air pockets that help to minimise impacts from other car doors. They're available in four colours.</span>

<span>Optional wing mirror housings and C-pillar stripes add a bit of colour to the C4 Cactus.</span>

<span>The seats are comfortable with a low driving position, so the Cactus doesn’t feel like a crossover at the wheel. T<span>wo screens also feature instead of a dashboard covered in buttons.</span></span>

<span>Some of the plastics used in the Cactus lower down the cabin look cheap, but everything you touch frequently have a quality feel.</span>

<span>Citroen has stripped out 200kg compared to the </span>C4 hatchback<span>, giving the Cactus decent agility and strong performance from its modestly-powered engines.</span>
