The interior is similar to the saloon and is well equipped, plus it features leather trim as standard across the range.
Engines range from a 2.2-litre diesel engine all the way up to 5.0-litre supercharged V8 fitted to the Sportbrake XFR-S.

The handling is not as agile as you would expect, plus the steering doesn't provide much feedback and is quite light.

Due to a lengthened roof in the Sportbrake, passengers now get more headroom.
The boot space is a generous 550 litres with the seats up and increases to a decent 1,675 litres with the seats down.
