  • Kia has just launched a cheaper entry-level e-Niro, with a smaller 39kWh battery

  • Update focuses on infotainment, and the e-Niro’s cabin isn’t quite a match for newer Kias in terms of quality

  • Kia e-Niro
  • Top-spec 4 versions come with a heated steering wheel and seats, the buttons for which are located next to the drive selector. A lidded storage cubby sits behind it

  • Crisp and responsive 10.25-inch central display is a big part of the 2020 upgrade. It now features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity as standard

  • Electric versions of Niro have a larger boot than petrol ones, at 451 litres.

  • Rear passenger space is also impressive, with three adults able to sit comfortably
