There have been some wacky names for special editions over the years, but this tops the lot!

Fiat has developed a new 500 called ‘Da 0 a 100’. It translates as ‘From 0 to 100’, and has been built to mark the centenary of the birth of Carlo Abarth, the founder of the Fiat tuning arm.

Based on the 160bhp 1.4 Esseesse model, the car gets adapted gear ratios to give a 0-60mph time of 7.3 seconds and a 131mph top speed. Other modifications include uprated brakes, quad exhausts, special low springs and 17-inch alloys with chromed hub covers and Abarth’s scorpion logo.

But the most obvious feature is the unique paintjob: the car is finished in striking gold grey.

Only 100 examples are being built, all in left-hand-drive. And while there’s no word on price, Fiat says a handful could end up in the UK through importers.
