Our biggest bugbear with car shampoos, polishes and waxes is that makers often don’t incude the appropriate cloths or sponges to apply them with.

Now Muc-Off reckons it has the answer with its 3 Stage Supreme Car Care Kit. It comprises eight products, and includes the 2-in-1 Chenille Microfibre Wash Mitt, which we recommended in our Issue 1,053 test.

It really helped the Ubershine Car Shampoo (commended in our 2011 Product Awards) foam up well, and its long noodles lift dirt from bodywork, rather than scratching it like a sponge. You also get a litre of shampoo, worth £12.99 on its own.

To maintain the shine, you use Split Second Detailer Wax, which is effective at shifting minor dirt, too. The pack includes a litre of the formula in a spray bottle.

Our favourite wheel brush is also thrown in, plus a litre of wheel cleaner and two microfibre polishing cloths.

Although there’s no bucket or chamois, this is still a great Christmas gift. The products would cost £63 seperately, so £45 represents a decent saving and is good value.
