Summer sun highlights smears and streaks on your windscreen – so is new Quixx wiper blade cleaner the answer?

In the packet is a 30ml spray bottle, a couple of cleaning cloths and an abrasive sponge. To apply, lift up your wipers, spray Quixx on to the cloth, then wipe it across the rubber. Just be careful not to spray too much, as you won’t get the claimed 50 applications for your £12.

We treated the driver’s side wiper and cleaned the other with a damp sponge to compare the difference. The included sponge is great for cleaning your screen; don’t use Quixx to do this, though – you should buy a dedicated cleaner. We just wish there were more cloths in the pack; they get dirty very quickly, so you’ll be left wanting in this respect.

Over our test, there was less smearing on the treated side. Water was cleared from our screen well, and at the current £9.99 offer price, Quixx is good value. It also claims to work well in sub-zero temperatures, although we were obviously unable to test this in July.
