Audi has announced the availability of the new Sport trim level on the A6 allroad, starting at £3,700 more than the base model. The Audi A6 allroad Quattro Sport is on sale now, from £49,445 for the entry-level V6 TDI.

The A6 allroad Quattro was designed for mild off-roading, and had the styling to match. Now Audi has introduced the Sport trim level which includes a range of more premium features, clearly aimed at customers who desire their capable cars with a hint of design pizzazz.

The standard Sport spec includes new 19-inch alloy wheels, all-LED headlights, dynamic rear LED turn signals, electrically adjustable front sport seats and privacy glass, with a heads-up display and Matrix LED headlights available as options.

The Sport comes with a range of three six-cylinder TDI diesel engines. The 215bhp and 268bhp engines are mated to a seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission, while the 316bhp and 650Nm output of the BiTDI is fed to the wheels via an eight-speed tiptronic transmission.

The 316bhp option can get you from 0-62 mph in 5.5s and has a top speed of 155mph. Official fuel economy on this model is 43.5 miles to the gallon, with a corresponding CO2 output of 172g/km. This increases to a combined cycle 50.4mpg for the 215bhp and 51.4mpg for the 268bhp, with CO2 dropping to 149 and 145g/km respectively.
