The previous 1-Series Convertible was awkwardly styled but this 2-Series model looks much better.

The iDrive controller and integrated satnav are slick and easy to use.

Compared with the Audi A3 Cabriolet the BMW is beginning to show its age.

The back seats are useless for all but the smallest children, but they provide useful extra storage.

The BMW 2-Series convertible's fabric roof is an advantage as it does not take up too much boot space.
