New drug-driving legislation could soon allow police officers to test drivers at the roadside. But should they take a zero-tolerance stance? We’d like to know what you think.

The Government is currently seeking advice from medical professionals to decide upon the levels of key recreational drugs, such as cannabis and cocaine, that would impair driving.

The information would then be used to help create a new criminal offence of driving a car shortly after taking these illegal drugs.

Currently, police have to prove driving was impaired by the drug use in order to bring charges.
