  • The GranCabrio will be more desirable than the Porsche 911 and Mercedes SL.

  • The Cabrio is a great long-distance cruiser with space for four and a refined and comfortable driving experience.

  • The interior is very luxurious, but some switches and controls are starting to look a little dated.

  • 0-62mph takes around 5 seconds.

  • The GranCabrio is quite practical for a cabrio.

  • The rear seats have to be put at more upright angle to accomodate for the roof, which means people over 6-foot tall will struggle for headroom.

  • With the roof off the Maserati makes one of the best soundtracks available.

  • The Maserati's 4.7-litre engine will produce 434bhp in the sport variant and 454bhp in the MC variant.

  • You will have to pack light as the bootspace is only 173-litres.

  • The brakes could be larger as it's a struggle to slow down the two-tonne car.
