Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 review

The Bridgestone is as strong as ever in the wet and dry, but now it's a bit better in the snow, too

  • Score: 98.9%

Second overall in our last test, the Bridgestone just missed out this time by the smallest of margins. Once again it proved strong in the wet and the dry, and delivered a little more in the snow this time.

The improvement that lifted its snow performance came in braking, where it finished second, within half a metre of the top tyre. It was ranked fifth in the traction test and also around the handling circuit, where it was a couple of seconds off the pace.

We put a premium on wet performance, and the Bridgestone performs well here. It set the standard in the all-important braking test, and was first on the wet circle and in straight aquaplaning. It was fifth around the wet handling circuit, 1.6sec off the best, but it was easy to exploit, being stable and predictable. It just needed a moment to settle into the turns where others were more decisive.

It wasn’t the quietest or most economical, but second in dry braking means it offers strong braking on all three surfaces. It was within half a second of the best tyre around the dry handling track, where it felt superb being responsive, grippy and precise.

We say:

“Outstanding in the wet, great in the dry and useful in the snow. A great all-season tyre.”

Blackcircles.com says:

“Well regarded for its performance in various conditions. Rated 4.6/5 overall, the tyres’ great performance inspires confidence in drivers.”
